Frequently Asked Questions
You can always ask
If we haven’t answered a question you have below, please do not hesitate to reach out! We love hearing from you.
Where do I shop?
This side of the website is to tell our brand’s story so you can know the rich history and meaning behind Mary Mack. To shop our unique designs, please visit the shop by clicking here.
What is the significance of Flamingos?
The chinoiserie style logo incorporates elements that represent the East Asian origins of embroidery and meaningful elements from my grandmother’s yard – camellias, satsumas and two pink flamingos from the 1950s that were ever present in her flower beds.
What types of fabrics do you offer?
We love quality and love to use the finest linen, cotton and cotton piqué to embroider on using true matte, wool, cotton and metallic threads all of which can be laundered so your items continue to look mighty pretty even after many washes and use.
Are fabric swatches and thread samples available?
They are. We realize viewing an image on a screen is no substitute for actually seeing the color and feeling the fabric. Please contact us at hello@mary-mack.com to discuss ordering samples. Shipping fees are applicable.
Is it possible to see my monogram before ordering?
Of course! We offer a proof so you may see your monogram and the thread color you are considering. As proofs are sent electronically, please keep in mind that monitors display differently. While every effort has been made to match the actual thread color, we cannot promise it is exact.
Can I send you items to be embroidered?
We love working with clients and would love to help you create some mighty pretty things of your own. However, other than fabric yardage, we do not embroider on your personal items. But if you have an item in mind that we do not carry, we are happy to see if it’s something we could possibly source for you.
What is digitizing and what does it cost?
The ability to take original designs, whether artwork or simply a penned name, and create a stitch file that can run on the embroidery machine makes us very happy. We use old school techniques and state of the art software. The result is in the design details that cannot be achieved by an automated process. The cost to digitize begins at $85 and increases based on the size and complexity of a design.
Will I receive an embroidery sample for my bespoke order?
If a design has been digitized for you, a sample of the design along with thread options will be shipped to you via USPS. Once received, a phone call will be scheduled to further discuss your choices. Your digital embroidery file is exclusive to you and will be saved so you may use on Mary Mack embroidered items at your convenience.
